POSEIDON CLOSED CIRCUIT REBREATHER DIVER

This program has been developed for the training in the use of the Poseidon Closed Circuit Rebreather for entry level technical diving only.

In combination with the team at Poseidon, RAID has designed bespoke, specific manuals for the Poseidon. This is a relatively unique approach in the diving industry since few agencies offer manuals dedicated to specific rebreather models.

The Poseidon program contains 5 manuals which, when combined with the Core Rebreather Knowledge manuals, deliver all the academic information needed to safely dive the Poseidon rebreather.

It is ready to fly right out of the box, user friendly, robust, versatile and adaptable in numerous configurations depending on the divers' needs. It has industry low work of breathing, state of the art electronics with redundant power supply, a user-friendly design and heavy duty construction. A slim, robust and simple construction allows the diver to easily place bailout, light canister or gas for buoyancy directly on the scrubber housing.


PREREQUISITES
Minimum age of 18 years
This program is only for certified divers
The minimum certification level is RAID Deco 40 or equivalent, with 50 logged dives.
Divers already certified as rebreather divers may participate in the (Cross Over) Specialty only as they are already proficient in rebreather diving and only need specific knowledge, skills and time on the Poseidon.

COMBINING THIS COURSE WITH INITIAL CCR TRAINING

When combining this course with a unit specific rebreather course the following standards need to be observed.

• The initial CCR core level needs to be completed prior to starting this course.
• The student needs to have prior training in accelerated decompression.
• The training dives 1 & 2 may be credited if deemed appropriate.

UPGRADING TO 45TMX

If you have previously completed the RAID 40m Decompression Diver course and wish to upgrade to the 45m Limited Trimix level you need to attend and complete with competence:

• 1 classroom session with your instructor.
• 1 confined session with your instructor covering they key skills of this course.
• 2 open water dives (dives 7 and 8).

Hypoxic Trimix Rebreather Diver

This is possibly the highest recreational diver level certification there is. If you're embarking on this course, you have a vast amount of experience and ability. 

You will refresh some important skills and learn how to plan and conduct dives to 100m/330ft, alternatively, if you feel you need a little more experience before going all the way, you may opt to get an 80m/ 260ft certification and upgrade at a later date.

POSEIDON SPORT REBREATHER DIVER

This is a diver-level training program designed specifically for the modern Recreational CCR diver who wishes to learn how to dive the Poseidon SE7EN rebreather to 30m.

Certification provides you the knowledge and skills to dive the Mk6 or SE7EN in a recreational configuration where all major failures are responded to with an Open Circuit bailout. It does not provide you with the skills and knowledge to dive the SE7EN in full technical configuration.
The skills and knowledge you'll acquire in this course are in addition to the general rebreather knowledge of the Core Rebreather Knowledge course which must be completed prior to starting this training program.

If you are already a RAID certified rebreather diver, this program may be used for crossover purposes and your RAID instructor will discuss the various training dives and how each skill will be approached.
