So, you want to learn to dive, but it’s freezing outside, or you want to take things nice and slow and master the art of scuba diving in a pool or venture into an aquarium and swim with fish. The indoor Diver program is specifically developed for diving in aquariums and pools. The course covers all the essential skills for safe scuba diving, it does not cut corners and teaches the full open water diver curriculum.
To earn your Indoor Diver certification, you need to read the manuals for each section and complete the quizzes. Once you have passed all the quizzes, you can proceed to the exam. It is important to select and contact a RAID Dive Centre and arrange for your practical in-water training. They will arrange your class and in-water sessions and help you with equipment advice or purchases.
You will have hours of fun as your instructor works with you during 8 indoor dives. These dives guide you to being able to master your equipment and safely enjoy your underwater experience.
Once certified as a RAID Indoor Diver you may dive autonomously with a buddy with similar or a higher level of certification and experience to a maximum depth of 18 meters/60 feet in an indoor environment only.
Once you are able or ready to upgrade to the full open Water 20 diver, you will only need to read one more mini manual with a quiz and mini exam. Then you will need to complete 4 open water dives with exactly the same skills that you mastered during indoor dives 5 to 8.
To enroll on this course, you must be at least 10 years old, and you need to be able to swim.
Now, get stuck in and enjoy your course and the rest of your diving career.
